A botanical powerhouse of natural vitamin C
Acerola is one of the greatest natural sources of L–ascorbic acid also known as vitamin C. Offering up to 30 times more vitamin C than an orange, it is a nutrient–dense botanical powerhouse.
Besides Vitamin C, acerola contains polyphenols, flavonoids, anthocyanins and carotenoids. It also contains pro-vitamin A, vitamins B1 and B2, niacin, albumin, iron, phosphorus and calcium.
In the format of dry powders standardized in high vitamin C content, it is very easy to reach application dosages that surpass the daily recommended dosage (75-90mg/day).
Studies suggest that beyond its vitamin density, acerola is associated with suporting collagen synthesis, cardiovascular health, and the natural immune response to infections¹.
