We are proud to announce that Verum Ingredients is now a member of the Upcycled Food Association (UFA). Verum is specialized in Brazilian botanical ingredients – fruits and veggies. We work on strengthening supply chains for known ingredients, and we build new supply chains for emerging ingredients. In the last two years we have run our own R&D projects to validate functional claims for new, upcycled ingredients derived from large-scale crops.
UFA is a nonprofit focused on reducing food waste by growing the upcycled food economy. It was created by upcycled food companies themselves who recognized the power of collaboration in growing a successful food category. The UFA membership initiative contextualizes not only our efforts in the development of new products, but also our aim to foster the positive impacts that upcycled food can have both socially and on the environment.
